Fashion weeks have a lot to offer—the vibe, the street style, performance art, but most importantly, a sneak peek into what’s going to trend. As renowned and upcoming artists put forth their works of art, we took in the immaculate styles that will be trending in the months to come.
As FDCI x Lakmé Fashion Week concluded, we have curated a list of trends that we loved and the ones that are most likely to turn into must-haves this season.
Metallic silver
While metallics are a party favourite, it was silver that won the catwalk. From Bloni by Akshat Bansal to Gaurav Gupta, designers gave us a very fashionable silver lining!
Monochrome
Black-and-white has never been so fun! It was all over the fashion week as several designers swore by the trend and exhibited their own versions of the same, including veterans such as Shahab Durazi, Rajesh Pratap Singh, and Amit Aggarwal.
Geometry
Irrespective of whether you liked the subject in school or not, in fashion, geometry is a hit—especially this season. From Abraham and Thakore to Saaksha Kinni, several designers exhibited different types of structured prints.
Large motifs and prints
Why go small when you can go big? When it comes to prints and motifs, large ones made quite a statement this season. Aisha Rao and Eshaa Amiin vouched for these in their collections.
Vibrant hues
It’s time to get a plethora of vibrant colours in your closet: Barbie pink, sunset orange, lime green and more. If we love monochrome, we also love a pop of colour. Pankaj & Nidhi, Payal Singhal, and Mishru offered a great deal of vivacity to LFW’s colour palette.
