Have you ever walked into a store only to find—after trying on uncountable options—that nothing matches your personal style? Do you then limit your options because going from store to store or website to website is just too much effort? If you answer is yes, you’re in luck. Nupur Sanon, with her mother Geeta Sanon, has taken care of it for you with her fashion label—NOBO, No Boundaries—that launched this evening June 7.
The label will house all styles and kinds of outfits—from simple traditional wear to bohemian outfits and even western chic ensembles you can wear to the office or for a date. When we asked Sanon what her inspiration behind this collection was, she said, “My biggest inspiration behind NOBO has been my mother. She instilled this fondness for off-beat outfits in me. Growing up, she would make outfits for me and Kriti (Sanon) from scratch on her machine and that is where I get my passion from.”
Sanon’s vision for this brand is to create a one-stop-shop for all women looking for traditional wear as well as something unconventional. It’s about individuality as much as it is about clothing. The idea came from Sanon’s shopping sprees from local boutiques around the world. Her love for unique patterns, vibrant colours and a balance of traditional and modern has translated into her fashion label.
She says, “I wanted to create a space that caters to everything without restricting women to one style. We have clothes for almost all occasions. Whether you’re looking for something to wear at a resort, on a beach, for an office meeting, at a puja, or for a friend’s haldi ceremony, you’ll find a distinctive piece at NOBO. As the name suggests, there are no boundaries.”
The label embraces a conscious approach to style in the form of nostalgic, empowering designs. Characterised by eclectic and timeless luxury, the outfits are not defined by a particular type or style, they are inclusive and the range is vast. Sanon says, “We are going to keep exploring and playing around with styles.”
