7 times Sofia Richie embodied the 'quiet luxury' look

Sofia Richie, the daughter of legendary singer Lionel Richie, was thrust into the spotlight at 19 when she started dating Scott Disick. Soon thereafter, she made a place for herself among the ‘it girls’. And recently, her three outfit changes, all by Chanel, at her wedding to Elliot Grainge, cemented her position as a fashion icon. Over the years, Richie has come to epitomise "quiet luxury" and inspired many with her style.

The 'Quiet Luxury' trend or the ‘Sofia Richie effect', as some people are calling it, has dominated the fashion world in 2023, with people moving away from flashy logos and prints towards logo-less, solid outfits. It includes elevating the basics for a new and elite look. Richie is normally seen donning monochrome and pastel looks, occasionally with a pop of colour, proving that less really is more.

Here, we take a look at some of her looks that scream ‘stealth wealth'.

Richie pairs the limited edition wine-coloured top with a flowy knit skirt, both from Tae Park. Sticking to her memo, she uses minimal accessories, with a 1980 vintage Hermes bag, ivory heels from The Row, and a stack of thin bracelets on one hand and a watch and ring on the other. She also dons an anklet to complete the look.

 

If this is what casual looks like, we have been doing it wrong our whole life! Richie wears a corduroy set with a brown suede purse and beige pumps, all from The Row. She accessorises the fit with tiny gold hoops, YSL sunglasses, and her signature bracelet stack. 

On the rare occasion Richie does colour, she goes bold. She pairs a co-ord set from SIR’s pre-fall 2023 collection with a bright pink purse and pumps from Hermes and Khaite, respectively. Her YSL sunglasses, paired with bracelets from Tiffany & Co. and a gold cuff from David Yurman add a touch of elegance to the look. 

Summer may be over, but Richie sure knows how to bring sunshine into our lives with this Bernadette Antwerp sunflower dress. She’s kept her accessories minimal with simple drop earrings from House of Harlow and her trusted YSL sunglasses. 

Oh, to be in the middle of the ocean on a yacht with the love of your life (all while looking fabulous). For this breezy look, Richie donned a Dior bikini and floral pants by Dries Van Noten. She accessorised it with her staple bracelets and sunglasses by Oliver Peoples. 

Keeping it simple for a night out, Richie wore a pale yellow wool dress by Khaite with golden hoops and a thin belt.
