Alia Bhatt, known for her recent appearances in exquisite sarees—ranging from the vintage ivory saree at the Hope Gala to her ajrakh print saree for the Joy Awards—on the red carpet and other key events, made her second appearance at the Met Gala in an elegant saree by designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee.
Extending into a 30-foot exaggerated train, embroidered with silk floss, beads, sequins, semi-precious stones, and fringed with glass beads, the saree is a testimony of true craftsmanship. Mukherjee's interpretation of The Garden of Time for Bhatt took 163 craftsmen and 1,965 hours to create, akin to how a garden is nurtured over time.
