All of the standout looks from the 'Wicked' press tour

The two lead stars have certified their 'method dressing' credentials.

Harper's Bazaar India

The tour for the long-anticipated Wicked film is underway and, with it, a stream of whimsical looks worn by the film's two leads: Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo.

Those expecting to see fantastical fashion and sartorial nods to the film's surrealist nature won't be disappointed; like the new generation of actors that have taken to the red carpet before them (see Zendaya's recent Challengers looks and Jenna Ortega's Beetlejuice outfits), both Erivo and Grande have characterised their press tour wardrobe through 'method dressing'.

While they might have swapped the yellow brick road for the red carpet, both of the stars have regularly incorporated visual elements of their characters from the film, with Grande stepping out in a carousel of Glinda-worthy fairytale gowns, tulle and flared skirts in soft pinks and blush hues, created with her stylist Mimi Cuttrell.

Erivo, staying true to her character Elphaba, has worked with her stylist Jason Bolden to curate a wardrobe of abstract and structural pieces in varying shades of greens, punctuated with head-to-toe black outfits. While Grande's looks are delivering on opulence, Erivo's avant-garde tour wardrobe has been a true delight for those tapped into fashion, straying away from 'safe' and entering the category of truly memorable press-tour looks.

Below, find our guide to all of the Wicked tour looks worn by the duo.

Ralph Lauren

In a rare departure from pink, Grande arrived at the European premiere in London wearing a frothy lemon-yellow Ralph Lauren gown and round-frame sunglasses. She finished her look with Swarovski jewellery.

Schiaparelli

Erivo opted for a sculptural Schiaparelli design with a full tulle skirt, and jewellery by De Beers.

Dior

For the Wicked premiere in New York, Erivo wore a custom Dior haute couture dress with a sheer bodice and silk skirt, finished with a veiled headpiece by Stephen Jones.

Louis Vuitton

Grande opted for a custom Louis Vuitton dress with peplum detail in a raspberry satin fabric, with jewellery by Lorraine Schwartz.
