Such is the audience’s appetite for good content, they’re always hungry for more. Why should things come to an end, especially when we’re getting to the most interesting part of a series, is what fans of Emily of Paris are asking themselves these days with only five more episodes left to stream. With the second part of season 4 set to stream on September 12, we can’t help but wonder if we’re going to see more of Emily and her drama-filled life that has us hooked to our screens. So, will we get a fifth season? Here’s what we know so far.
What’s taken place so far in Season 4
The ‘Who will Emily choose?’ question was finally answered as Emily picked Gabriel to start a relationship with (sorry team Alfie). But things did get off to a rocky start when Camille, Gabriel’s former flame gets pregnant with his child and moves into his apartment with her new girlfriend, Sofia. And if that wasn’t bad enough, the duo move into a place right across the hall from Gabriel. Things take a turn for the worse when Camille breaks up with Sofia and realises she’s not pregnant. The complications don’t seem to end as she doesn’t disclose this information to Gabriel and Emily because she wants to stay close to him. Is this twist going to change the course of the entire series? And how? We can’t wait to see.
While there hasn’t been any official announcement by the makers or Netflix about season 4, there’s no way things will be ending like this. Plus with five more episodes out next month, who knows what new developments would add fuel to the fire of there being a season five.
An auction that leaves things up in the air
It was just a few months ago that one started believing the hype of there being a possible season 5. It was a drama-filled amfAR Gala at the Cannes Film Festival, as supermodel Winnie Harlow and actor Paris Jackson announced that a guest role for Emily In Paris season 5 was being auctioned off. “One of you is going to leave here tonight with a walk-on role in Season 5 of the hit TV show Emily in Paris,” Jackson told the audience, adding to the growing excitement. The money was for HIV/AIDS research, with the winner bidding €250,000 (roughly ₹2.3 crore).
Since season 5 is yet to be announced, the announcement then later clarified that the winning bidder would get the opportunity to spend a day on set in Paris during filming sometime after April 2025 (subject to season 5 being official) as well as attend the Los Angeles premiere of Emily in Paris season 4 this August. While things do seem positive, we’re keeping our fingers crossed hoping that Netflix renews the show for a fifth season. Until then, stay tuned for the second part of ‘Emily in Paris’ season 4 that streams on September 12.
