There’s some good news for all Stranger Things fans as the eagerly-awaited fifth and final season is set to premiere in 2025. On “Strangers Things Day” (November 6—the day Will Byers went missing from Hawkins, Indiana, in 1983 during the first season, kicking off the series’ events), Netflix didn’t just announce the release but also the names of the episodes that will conclude the series that had us hooked right from the first episode. With that being more than enough to keep us at the edge of our seats, here’s a lowdown of what to expect.

Staying true to tradition

November 6 is a date every fan of the series eagerly awaits every year as Netflix usually drops teasers about the next season.

Last year was no different as the writers dropped a snippet of the opening scene of season 5's first episode.

What to expect in season 5?

The teaser, dropped a few days ago, gave a sneak peek of what’s in store with the words, “In the fall of 1987, one last adventure begins,” with the names of episode titles revealed right after. The season will witness a one-year jump as season 4 featured events after March 1986. The end of that season saw the Hawkins crew reunite and defeat Vecna from different corners and dimensions of the world. While they got the better of him, he did survive and go into hiding. The group split up and looked down at their home as the villain’s final chapter took its first steps.

What are the names of the episodes?

The upcoming season will have eight episodes, which now have confirmed titles. Things shall kick off with “The Crawl” (a name announced in 2022 on Strangers Thing Day). Episode two is called “The Vanishing of…”, not revealing much about who is going to disappear. Episode three is titled “The Turnbow Trap” with episodes four, five, six and seven being called “Sorcerer”, “Shock Jock”, “Escape from Camazotz”, and “The Bridge”, respectively.
“The Rightside Up" is the last title, appearing to mirror the first season’s title, “The Upside Down”, potentially signalling a resolution to the conflict within the alternate dimension central to the plot.

Who will we get to see in season 5?

Everyone who made it out of the fourth season and was seen in the final episode will be seen in season 5. That means we’ll be seeing Millie Bobby Brown (Eleven), Finn Wolfhard (Mike), Caleb McLaughlin (Lucas), Gaten Matarazzo (Dustin), Noah Schnapp (Will), Priah Ferguson (Erica), Natalia Dyer (Nancy), Charlie Heaton (Jonathan), Maya Hawke (Robin), Joe Keery (Steve), David Harbour (Hopper), and Winona Ryder (Joyce) back in action. As far as new members go, Nell Fisher, Jake Connelly, and Alex Breaux are joining the cast of Stranger Things Season 5 along with Linda Hamilton announcing that she would be joining the final season.

Clearly, we can't wait.
