Saif Ali Khan: Navigating the tides of Bollywood

We all have to kind of slightly police ourselves and be a bit careful, otherwise there could be trouble." Being placed under constant scrutiny makes it even more difficult for actors to opt for unconventional in roles as such. It seems as though there is a delicate balance that actors must maintain between their art and societal expectations.

Despite the challenges, Saif Ali Khan remains committed to storytelling that resonates with Indian culture. He observes, "In a lot of the films I've done, we've had our eye on the West and we've had a kind of cosmopolitan approach to things. Whereas in the South that I've seen, they're very grounded in our own culture, like Baahubali." Khan’s evolving perspective on the importance of cultural authenticity in cinema is yet another factor that motivates him to experiment and diversify.
