On the night of the 19th of October we, at Harper’s Bazaar, hosted the inaugural Indian edition of Women of the Year. The star studded event celebrated the extraordinary contribution of actors, entrepreneurs, models, authors, designers, musicians, philanthropists, and athletes. Here are the women who dressed immaculately for the occasion:

Avanti Nagrath

The first Indian model to open a Versace runway show, Avanti Nagrath has taken her Delhi roots to the world. As she took home the title of Supermodel of the Year, Nagrath sparkled through the evening in a champagne-gold Rahul Mishra dress. The exquisite craftsmanship housed within the dress was to die for.

Natasha Poonawala

Nobody does it like Natasha. The Style Icon of the Year lived up to her title with a haute couture ensemble off the Schiaparelli Spring/Summer 2024 runway. The Robot dress that Poonawala wore, with exaggeratedly rounded shoulders, was entirely embroidered with Swarovski crystals, flip phones, CDs, and electronic chips in silver and green.

Anasuya Sengupta

Harper’s Bazaar India’s cover girl and breakout star from Konstantin Bojanov’s The Shameless, Anasuya Sengupta, looked otherworldly in an Amit Aggarwal creation. Styled by Shreeja Rajgopal, the oxblood dress rendered Sengupta ethereal. The meticulously structured waves and gathers made for an unforgettable red carpet moment. Jewels from Amaranté and Swarovski added to the magic.

Isha Ambani

The Ambani heiress and entrepreneur received the Icon of the Year award. Isha’s contribution to the boom of fashion in India has been exceptional, just like the Schiaparelli set she put on for the night. Styled by Anaita Shroff Adajania, the contrast of the ivory waistcoat played beautifully with the black skirt. The classic house details in gold brought it all together.

Trinetra Halder Gummaraju

Trinetra graced The Body Issue cover of Harper’s Bazaar India. The doctor and actress, who debuted with Zoya Akhtar’s web series Made in Heaven, stunned in a gorgeous silhouette by Charu and Vasundhara. Styled by Who Wore What When, the dress had intricate white floral embroidery on a black canvas that hugged Trinetra in all the right places and showed off her contours beautifully. She paired it with a statement ring and earrings from Razwada Jewels and stilettos from Christian Louboutin.

Jonita Gandhi

Jonita Gandhi bagged the Musician of the Year. When it came to her ensemble for the night, Gandhi looked powerful and chic in a white tulle dress, with a structured bustier and an encrusted blazer. Styled by Akanksha Kawedia, the monochromatic look from Roseroom by Isha Jajodia, paired with jewellery by Varda Jhunjhunwala Goenka, was unmissably fresh.

Ananya Panday

Ananya Panday, who has begun to prove her place in the industry with films like Kho Gaye Hum Kahan and CTRL, channelled timeless starlets. The star won the Spotlight Actor of the Year. Styled by Ami Patel, Panday wore a Gaurav Gupta dress that played with black and white. The golden cuffs from Misho Designs, with earrings by E3k Jewelry, brought the look together.

Uorfi Javed

All eyes were on Uorfi when she walked on the red carpet in a custom dress by Srushti Patil. The dress, crafted with bioplastics, plant-based leathers, recycled waste and sustainably sourced fabrics, was from NIFT graduate’s latest collection titled ‘Circularity’. Styled by Meagan Concessio, Uorfi wore intricate earrings by the conscious brand Two Extra Lives.

Kriti Sanon

Kriti Sanon took home the Actor of the Year award. Styled by Sukriti Grover and Vani Gupta, the Crew and Do Patti star was dripping in Dhruv Kapoor. Sanon paired a black bralette with an oversized grey blazer, and a matching pencil skirt with a high slit. Her box bag by Tann-ed complemented the look perfectly, with earrings by Aeqea and rings by Hue And Her.

Anaita Shroff Adajania

Anaita Shroff Adajania won the Stylist of the Year, and for good reason. Not only did she make Isha Ambani look fabulous, but ASA herself stole the show in a scarlet creation by Gaurav Gupta. The dress had all the signature elements that make a Gaurav Gupta piece iconic, from pleated details to a flattering cut. Anaita’s jewellery was from Vak Jewels, with shoes and a bag by Christian Louboutin.

Kubbra Sait

The actor, TV host, and model, Kubbra Sait, gained widespread recognition for her portrayal of Kukoo in the Netflix series Sacred Games. For the night of the Harper’s Bazaar Women of the Year 2024, Sait suited up like a boss. Styled by Who Wore What When, she paired a tuxedo from Tweed and Twine, complete with a bowtie, with some emerald earrings with pearl details from Golden Window Jewellery. Talk about a power move!

Gauri Khan

The first lady of Bollywood, Gauri Khan, kept it sharp and simple with a dress by Stella McCartney with lace details. Khan won the Interior Designer of the Year award, and the classic fit she went for aligned beautifully with the minimal approach she puts forth through her designs, housed in the homes of the country's biggest names. She accessorised the look with an ivory Hermès Kelly, and stilletos from Jimmy Choo.
