The most fashion-forward hotels across the globe
A stylish collection of hotels where the chic like to retreat.
Discover the allure of stylish hospitality across the globe—from the timeless charm of Parisian hotels to the sleek skyline of the New York City. This curated list is your perfect guide for the most fashionable accommodation in Paris, New York, and beyond.
Gleneagles Townhouse Edinburgh
Fashionable visitors to Auld Reekie know there is only one place to stay: Gleneagles Townhouse, an urban offshoot of the Perthshire hotel, occupying a former bank building. Dine on Scottish produce in the banking hall, and work out behind the original foot-thick safe doors in the Strong Rooms (the cryotherapy chamber will prepare you for the coldest weather). End your evening with a whisky in the rooftop bar, lamplighters, which offers glorious views over the city, before snuggling into your superlatively comfortable bed.
Hotel Des Grands Voyagers Paris
A welcome addition to the capital’s hotel scene when it opened on the Left Bank in the 6th arrondissement last autumn, the sister to Hôtel Dames des Arts is a refreshing exercise in affordable luxury. Already a favourite of the elegant attendees of fashion week, the townhouse has an understated charm and intimate feel; Diptyque products grace the bathrooms, and those staying in suites are treated to Pierre Hermé macarons and a selection of vintage vinyl that can be played on the in-room record players.
Bulgari Hotel London
For a true taste of unapologetic metropolitan glamour, check into the Bulgari Hotel in Knightsbridge. Try Sette, the first London iteration of New York’s iconic Scarpetta restaurants, which dishes up a perfect lobster tagliolini, then head to Nolita Social, the hotel’s buzzy bar, which is open from Thursday to Saturday night with live DJs. The resplendent spa, complete with a 25-metre pool in Vicenza stone, will be the ultimate panacea for your subsequent aching head.
The Mark Hotel New York
Standing between Central Park and Madison Avenue, this Manhattan establishment attracts a loyal following of celebrities, who can be seen striding across its sleek black and white striped marble floor. While not everyone will have access to the 10,000-squarefoot, five-bedroom penthouse, the hotel’s suites are just as plush. Guests are spoilt for choice when it comes to dining options, which include Caviar Kaspia (the baked potato topped with Royal Oscietra caviar is a must), and Jean-Georges Vongerichten’s elegant outpost.
Le Bristol Paris
Famed for its starring role in the film Midnight in Paris, Le Bristol is a 199-year-old icon on the Rue du Faubourg. Start the day with a dip in the sixthfloor pool overlooking the rooftops, and round it off with macaroni, black truffle and foie gras at Epicure, Eric Frechon’s three-Michelin-starred restaurant. It’s also a haven for pampered pooches, who are welcomed with open arms—despite the august presence of the resident cat, Socrate.
THE GANSEVOORT NEW YORK
This 186-room hotel has fast become a New York classic and the epitome of cool. Location is key here: it sits a few streets away from the High Line and the Whitney Museum of American Art, and the floor-to-ceiling windows make the most of the view of the neighbouring Hudson River. Its in house American bistro and bar, the Chester, is a favourite of the Meatpacking locals, who visit for brunch or after-work drinks, when it thrums with creative energy.
