Picture this: a weekend where you get to try all your favourite spirits at one place mixed by the top bartenders in the country, immersive zones and pop-ups that take you through the art of crafting cocktails, enlightening panel discussions, along with a fun spread of food and desserts.
All this and more is coming your way at the World Class Cocktail Festival set to be hosted by Diageo Reserve at A DOT by GNH, Gurugram, Gurugram on 1st and 2nd July. The festival is part of the 14th edition of World Class, which has Sobhita Dhulipala as its ambassador and is considered to be the world’s biggest and most prestigious bartending competition. The initial stage of the competition included a World Class Cocktail Week with a special menu curated by the top 100 bartenders from across India, and the final stage will see top 15 bartenders from the country compete at the festival to win the title of 2023 World Class India Bartender of the Year. They will be judged by an expert jury featuring food columnist and author Vir Sanghvi, Ashish Kapur, the founder of Whiskey Samba and The Wine Company, chef Manu Chandra, award-winning bartender Millie Tang, Yangdup Lama, who is considered to be one of India’s foremost mixologists, and Jenna Ba, the global brand ambassador for Diageo. The winner will then represent India at the World Class global finale in São Paulo, Brazil in September.
Over two days, expect to immerse yourself in the art of cocktail making, experience international bar pop-ups, attend cocktail workshops that will teach you how to create your favourite drinks, and explore some of the finest spirits in the world.

Dedicated zones to try out your favourite tipples
From whisky to gin, be prepared to sip on concoctions made with some of the finest spirits crafted by the top 15 bartenders in India. If you’re a fan of whisky, then the immersive zone serving up Johnnie Walker cocktails will be right up your alley. If you’d like something more regional, then the Godawan experience is a must-try, where you can get a taste of the unique Indian single malt, developed under warm weather as opposed to whiskies that are usually made in cold weather. And if you’re all for adventure and new experiences, then swing by the Taliskar whisky zone where you’ll be served the Isle of Skye spirit that is known for its smoky and bold flavour.
