Fashion trends from 'Made In Heaven' season 2 that are making all the right noises
Go ahead and cop them for your next outing.
Made in Heaven season 2 is all anyone can talk about—the storyline, the convoluted mindsets of people, the glitz and glamour of Delhi, and the high-end fashion, which every stylist and every fashionista is taking note of. The fashion game is on point and current. From trends that emerged barely two weeks ago at India Couture Week to the Y2K style that is making a comeback, the show had it all.
Here's a look at some of the outfits that have left a lasting impression on us.
The Revenge Dress
A title given to Princess Diana’s Christina Stambolian dress has now been bestowed upon this dress from Sabyasachi’s collection. The intricately embroidered midi dress has a round, risqué neckline, and is accessorised with a bold choker and Sobhita Dhulipala’s boss-lady attitude.
Warrior Cape
One of the biggest trends from India Couture Week 2023 was capes, with designers like Gaurav Gupta, Shantanu and Nikhil, and other transforming the runway into a palace durbar with stunning models walking down the ramp with capes trailing behind them. Shibani Akhtar’s wedding look is just as regal, with a cold-shoulder cape designed by Gaurav Gupta.
Structured Silver
Against the backdrop of a mystical forest, Tara (played by Sobhita Dhulipala) looked like an angel in this Amit Aggarwal saree. The metallic blouse was paired with an extravagant yet, not over-the-top structured pallu. It gave the right amount of definition and glamour without taking away from the story.
Bollywood Shimmer
If there's one thing we saw on the runway, it was shimmer and metallics, and that’s exactly what Manish Malhotra gave his Made in Heaven bride. Elnaaz Norouzi played Leila Shirazi, an actor, and this outfit brought the glamour quotient to our reel-life Bollywood wedding.
Pretty Pastels
Pastels have been the palette of the season, with everything from lehengas to sarees to gowns being created in pastel hues. In the show, we see Tara wearing a pastel pink Torani saree for her former father-in-law’s funeral. The saree, a delicate pink, is bordered with a thin white lace.
The Cowl Neck
Costume designer Bhavna Sharma ensured that Tara Khanna served more looks than we can catch up with. She showed us that you didn’t need a designer brand to make heads turn by putting Sobhita Dhulipala in a cowl-neck Zara dress while she says, "I dress up. Your friends are incidental."
