When you think of bold, geometric prints, vibrant colours, and glam designs, there’s only one brand that comes to mind—Pucci. Rightfully known as ‘The Prince of Prints,’ Emilio Pucci epitomised bold, statement designs. In an interview with Harper’s Bazaar India, Pucci's daughter Laudomia shared that the designs were influenced by his mother’s Naples and Russian roots, which shaped his passion for Mediterranean colours and strong prints.

Reinventing Pucci’s global legacy, luxury fashion retailer—Le Mill launched Pucci’s latest collection, adding the powerhouse label to its extensive brand roster.

A Florentine aristocrat and a visionary in post-war Italy, Emilio Pucci revolutionised fashion by creating lightweight, stretchy fabrics that were perfect for travelling. According to Laudomia Pucci, her father specialised in fabric research and created numerous stretch fabrics, including the silk jersey, which was among his most successful and popular fabrics of choice. He paired them with details like fringes and beading, which added movement and enhanced the sexy, feminine feel.

From the fabrics to the prints, details from Pucci’s past creations have been captured in Le Mill’s exclusive curation of Pucci’s Spring/Summer 2024 collection. Titled ‘Very Vivara,’ the collection features the iconic Vivara print created by Emilio Pucci in 1965. The print is representative of his connection to the Mediterranean Sea and the crescent-shaped Vivara Island near Capri.

One look at the collection, and you’re instantly taken back to Pucci’s vibrant creations. It includes co-ord sets, dresses, skirts, bikinis, and kaftans. But that’s not all, the collection also features accessories like earrings, bags, and shoes in similar printed fabrics.

With Camille Miceli as the creative director, Pucci has reconnected with its roots in Capri, infusing the resort-inspired collection with fresh and cultured tastes.
