Atlas

Jennifer Lopez is all set to turn up the heat this summer, this time in the sci-fi thriller Atlas. She stars as Atlas Shepherd, a data analyst with a deep distrust of artificial intelligence. She signs up to join a mission to the stars to capture a rebellious robot that is linked to her mysterious past. But when plans go awry, her only hope of saving the future of humanity from AI is to trust it. Sharing her thoughts about the film, Lopez said, “I loved that this is a big sci-fi action movie, but, at its core, it’s a story of friendship—and a love story, in a way,” she said. “I always see everything as a love story, but this is a different kind of love between two beings who connect in disastrous circumstances, and teach each other how to be more human.”
