Here’s everything you need to know about the 2024 Emmy Award nominations
‘Shōgun’ and ‘The Bear’ lead the way with 25 and 23 nominations respectively, followed by ‘Only Murders in the Building’ with 21.
It’s that time of year when the television world eagerly awaits the annual celebration of talent—the Emmy Awards. With the nominations for the 76th Emmy Awards announced this Wednesday, the anticipation builds to see who will bag the coveted titles. We have a fair idea, but we’ll leave it to you to decide. The nominations were revealed by Tony Hale, Sheryl Lee Ralph, and Television Academy chair Cris Abrego at the El Capitan Theatre in Los Angeles.
From what we gather, it seems to be a clash of the heavyweights as FX’s Shōgun leads the way with 25 nominations followed by FX’s The Bear with 23 and Hulu’s Only Murders in the Building with 21. These three shows were followed by HBO/Max’s True Detective: Night Country (19) and Netflix’s The Crown (18). Overall, Netflix leads the nomination charts with a total of 107 (across 35 programmes), followed by FX with 93 (nine programmes), HBO with 91 (29 programmes), and Apple TV+ with 72 (16 programmes).
