A Culinary Oasis
Bastian, a celebrity-favorite Mumbai restaurant, is now open in Bengaluru's Garden City. The neutral interiors with statement design elements are inspired by chic holiday destinations worldwide. Spread across 22,000 sqft, the second floor of the restaurant opens up into an alfresco dining area—a perfect ambience for those breezy evenings in Bengaluru. Offering an extensive selection of American and Asian-inspired cuisines, this fine-dining establishment even have vegan and gluten-free options. The Instagram-worthy cocktails, experimental food items, and boho-chic aura will surely make for an exciting evening to remember.
Printmaking Prowess
Multiple Encounters, a collective of printmakers, is hosting an exhibition to give viewers a glimpse of the world of printmaking. Titled Five Decades of Printmaking, here each mark tells a story and sparks introspection. The show is on display till May 14 at the India Habitat Centre, New Delhi. Printmaking, as an art form, is often underexplored. Members of Multiple Encounters seek to challenge it by championing this creative medium.
Chromatic hues
Immerse into a world of colour, texture, and imagination at Dhoomimal Art Gallery in New Delhi where artist Nupur Kundu is showcasing her solo exhibition. Conveying Nupur’s perception of earth’s beauty, fragility, and resilience, Hues & Scapes is on display till May 24. Visitors are invited to witness the artist’s mastery of the Impasto technique, as Nupur creates mysterious forms on canvas.

A must-watch on Netflix this month is Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar, a drama series by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The period drama offers a glimpse into the lives of courtesans in Lahore’s Heera Mandi district amidst the backdrop of India’s struggle for independence. Also captivating the audience is Amar Singh Chamkila by Imtiaz Ali that delves into the enigmatic life of singer Amar Singh. Starring Diljit Dosanjh and Parineeti Chopra, the film uncovers his relationships and the lingering mystery around his unsolved murder.
Taste of tradition
Enjoy the authentic Burmese flavours, and indulge in an array of home-style dishes and refreshing beverages at Burma Burma. The limited-edition Thingyan festival [ Water festival] menu captures the spirit of community, bonding, and authenticity. The festival is a celebration of washing away the old to make way for the new. Available till May 19, one can feast on flavourful curries, zesty salad, and hearty coconut dishes. Satiate your sweet tooth with the Banana Sanwin Makin, Lemon Poppy Seed Ice cream, and Mont Lone Yai Paw–the traditional Thingyan dessert.
Rebalance
This summer, opt for a transformative wellness experience as Ananda in the Himalaya—an Ayurveda hub—collaborates with Nautilus Maldives. A five-star, ultra-luxury private island resort at Baa Atoll, Nautilus Maldives will host two senior practitioners from Ananda, offering a range of therapies.
