The sports world was abuzz this weekend, as the much-anticipated US Open 2023 singles finals took place over the two days.

For the men’s singles final, Novak Djokovic, who is currently ranked number one, beat world number three Daniil Medvedev on September 10 to lift the Grand Slam trophy, and equalled Australian tennis great Margaret Court’s record of winning 24 Grand Slam singles titles in the Open era.

Of course, many celebrities—from Justin Timberlake, Kylie Jenner and Timothee Chalamet, to Leonardo DiCaprio—attended the finals to watch the two top-ranked players in action. It was also notable that this was Djokovic's big return to the tournament after missing last year's edition due to government rules requiring foreign visitors to be vaccinated against COVID-19.

The Arthur Ashe stadium saw plenty of star power a day before, too, as many turned up to watch the iconic women’s singles final between Coco Gauff and world number one-ranked Aryna Sabalenka on September 9. The enthusiastic crowd cheered for the 19-year-old Gauff from start to finish, who won the match after a slow start, becoming a Grand Slam champion at the same tournament she used to visit as a kid to watch her idols Serena and Venus Williams play.

Ahead, discover all the stars that turned up at the Arthur Ashe stadium in New York to watch the finals and show their support.
